Summer is colorful. I love how much of it is all around - greens especially! But also the red and yellow vegetables, the blue skies, or even the grey stormy skies. So, tell me, do you embrace the summer colors on your scrap pages? Or are you more about letting the photos have color, and the scrap supplies being neutral? Me? I'm all about the color, all the time!

I've loved seeing all the summer stories popping up in the gallery. I've seen vacations, swimming, the beach, and hikes. So, what are you up to? My summer story right now is gardening, yard clean-up, and teen chauffeur. Not exciting, but it's still my story this summer. And it's yummy! Especially if you like cucumbers!

Dunia loves to create complicated-looking backgrounds with shapes. Use 1 photo. As you look through her gallery, you can see that Dunia often frames 1 beautiful photo on a page. Use at least 3 patterned papers. Dunia loves patterns, and it shows in her own scrapping! Use at least 2 word art pieces. Dunia often combines a few different styles on her pages. Include a date and no more than 1 line of journaling. Dunia often lets the photo tell the story, but includes a date to remember when it happened. It's fireworks time in Canada/United States. Any one have tried and true fireworks taking photo tips? I know I'm not usually close enough that a burst feature works well. And it's hard to catch the light right with the change in light between the bright fireworks and dark sky. Do you have fireworks that you've tried to photograph?

How do you scrap the hard stuff? I notice that a lot of my 'holes' in my scrapbooks all deal with hard things. I want to scrap about my sons graduation from 6th grade (It's a big deal around here), but it's tied to my mother-in-law's passing away. Both events happened the same day, so they are intertwined. I've scrapped a few of the hard things, but I struggle with them. So, ideas?
